BUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

It seems my 2 most recent posts talk about anime, but don’t worry. This time, I WILL ONCE AGAIN TALK ABOUT ANIME!!!

Of course, I’m not going to go down and analyse one show and tell you how spectacular it is, how thrilling, how mind-blowing and whatnot. I’m going to analyse A FEW SHOWS…I kid. I’m just going to rank the ones I’ve watched so far.

So, in order of best to worse, these are (some) the animes I’ve watched:

1. Gintama
2. Gyakkou Burai Kaji Season 1 and 2
2. Steins;Gate
4. Code Geass / Code Geass R2
5. Eden of the East (including the movies)
6. Fairy Tail
6. Ao no Exorcist
6. Beelzebub
9. Naruto
9. Bleach

Don’t start flaming me now, it’s my personal opinion. I based this all on firstly, number of episodes. Secondly, entertainment level. Thirdly, storyline and finally the flow.

Number of Episodes

Why is this a factor? The number of episodes of an anime shows the creator’s ability to create new stories, and of course by assumption the higher the number of episodes the harder it is to create things. Out of 10, by order of my list above, the scores are (estimated) 7, 6, 5, 6, 6, 7, 6, 6, 8, 8.

Entertainment Level

A very important factor in anime. You have to keep the viewer entertained, using things like comedy, horror and stuff like that. Out of 10, by order of my list above, the scores are (estimated) 9, 8, 8, 8, 7, 7, 8, 7, 6, 6. (Naruto and Bleach pisses me off at times with the nonsense they come up with. They don’t appeal to me much.)

Storyline

Highly important factor. If you’re going to create an anime, don’t just throw random erotic nonsense around to keep people watching. It’s just pathetic. You’d better have a proper story. Once again, in order of the list out of 10, the estimated scores are 8, 9, 9, 8, 8, 7, 7, 7, 6, 6.

Flow

This means how well the anime is put out, in a sense that are there any really annoying repetitive things they put out, and things that don’t make sense etc. Basically how smoothly the anime goes. Out of 10, by order of my list above, estimated scores are 8, 8, 9, 8, 8, 7, 8, 8, 6, 6.

Total

Add them up and there scores are:

Gintama: 32
Kaiji: 31
Steins;Gate: 31
CG: 30
EotE: 29
Fairy Tail: 28
Ao no Exorcist: 28
Beelzebub: 28
Naruto: 26
Bleach: 26

The above is a scene in Steins;Gate. Oops, SPOILER!

- BTW the title is something the protagonist of Steins;Gate always does. Go find out when and why yourself.

Strawberry Milk

Gintama - Strawberry Milk !! by bolaykim

That amazing speech that will make you look at strawberry milk in a different way, the man that can speak absolutely unbelievable logic which makes sense at the same time. The anime/manga that fulfills the requirements for an AWESOME anime/manga. Yes, it is…

GINTAMA!!!!!!

Definitely my favourite anime of all time. When it comes to jokes, it’s HILARIOUS. When it comes to a story, it’s exciting, and at times tear-jerking (or whatever the term is). I mean, I can’t put it in words, but this is the best anime EVER!

- STRAWBERRY MILK!!!!!!!!! STRAWBERRY MILK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Japanese Entertainment

I like anime, and games of course. Especially those that come from the Japanese, except for MMORPGs, where the Koreans are the better ones. Then again, anime and games from Japan have really good stories about half the time, and these stories they use reference to many other things. One of those really common references, would be the Japanese mythology and folktales.

Jiraiya Goketsu Monogatari (The Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya)
This is a Japanese folktale about a Ninja named Jiraiya, who uses shape shifting magic and transforms into a toad. He’s also in love with a princess named Tsunade, who mastered Snail Magic. Jiraiya also had an arch-enemy, who was once a follower of Jiraiya. His name is Orochimaru, and he mastered Snake Magic.

Familiar? Yes. Naruto’s Legendary Sannin. Jiraiya, the pervy old man who summons toads into battle and goes into sage mode, which is actually some toad ability. Tsunade, a medical ninja who is able to summon slugs (though it was supposed to be snails) and of course our evil snake guy Orochimaru. The three were referenced from the folktale!

Amaterasu, Susano-O and Tsukuyomi (or Tsuki-yomi)
The three here are Gods from Japanese mythology. Where Amaterasu, also known as Amaterasu-omikami or Ohiru-menomuchi-no-kami is the Sun Goddess, Susano-O, or Tatehaya Susanoo-no-Mikoto, God of the sea and storms and of course Tsukuyomi, the Moon God. They three were born from Izanagi, where Amaterasu was born from the left eye, Susano-O from the nose and Tsukuyomi from the right eye.

Now then, where have we seen these? MANY PLACES!

For one, our dear Naruto. *SPOILER ALERT* Uchiha Itachi was able to use 3 different abilities from his Sharingan. (Which later Uchiha Sasuke was able to.) The left eye, Amaterasu, where black flames that cannot be extinguished would appear at his target point and burn the sh*t out of you. The right eye’s Tsukuyomi, causing an illusion that would absolutely mind-f*ck you. Lastly, Susano-O, where some giant warrior spirit would surround him and defend him from attacks, at the same time be able to attack.

Not only that, we have them in Shin Megami Tensei: Persona, Yu-Gi-Oh, Cardfight! Vanguard and many more.

Izanagi and Izanami
The two were siblings, but Izanami died at childbirth. The three stated above were born after Izanagi returned.

Now, where’d did we see these refereces. 2 places, firstly, Darker than Black Season 2. Where Yin is Izanami. (Or was it Izanagi, I forgot.)

Also, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4.

(Izanagi [Masked guy] and Protagonist [The teen])

Speaking of games…
I remember reading one article on a website saying that the coming Sony NGP, when released, will have quite a bit of competition, and one of these competitors is probably a new iPad. Now then, nobody in the right mind would compare the iPad to NGP. Why? Cos NGP is an actual gaming platform, made for actual time consuming games. As for the iPad, it’s mostly for those games for boredom, the occasional short term RPG or retro remakes. You can’t compare those 2.

I’m getting out of point…

Back to Japanese Entertainment
My post is getting long…

Anyway, it seems the Japanese like referencing to things outside whatever their showing you. It’s one of the great things, as you gain knowledge from all these. It’s very unlike certain shows where they just keep doing the same sh*t over and over, and wasting your time often. (I’m looking at you Taiwan drama.)

-That’s all for today. Like it, click like. Got something to say? Comment. Of course, if you’d like to share this, reblog. This is joketard, deprived of sleep.

Improved.

-YAY!

There’s more where that came from!

More what you ask? Have a look at the previous post (Not the text. Stop having fantasies sheesh) and you’ll know what I’m talking about. I’ll post up some of my photoshop creations (if any) so as to, well, stay active. I don’t have a lot of interesting things to write, or maybe I just don’t think it’s interesting enough. You can never go wrong with pictures so, here goes. 2 new creations since the last one.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. ~Behind the Grass, Sons of the Boss~ (This one’s pretty crappy)

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 (My current forum sig, took me 2 hours. I’m a noob >.<)

You’re probably wonder why the second took 2 hours (other than the fact that I’m a noob). Those that know photoshop, there were actually almost 20 layers put into the second one, and I’m pretty sure you got that figured. In layman’s term, I used quite a bit of different images put together and modified, and some manual painting etc. I’m not able to do this quick, since I’ve just began to actually do something with Photoshop, so I took some time.

-Whoever designed Adobe Photoshop is not a simple man I tell you. Not simple at all.

My first time…

Today, I’d be speaking to you readers, about my first time. It’s normally something you don’t make public, since you do it behind closed doors. However, I’ve decided to share it with everyone, so that they will hopefully understand how I felt while I did it.

It all started with interest. I’ve watched many videos that show professionals doing it. They showed me how to put it in, take it out. How to place it in a position where it’ll feel good.

You’ll always enlarge, and at the end of it you’d shrink. You’ll have white stuff here and there, and sometimes some liquid thing. I don’t know how to say it, but when doing it, and after doing, you’d feel really good.

Below is an image, showing the product of my first time. You can call it, my baby…

-Yes, this was my first time doing a forum signature using photoshop.

19 Days…

…that’s how long it’s been since I made a post. Not that my posts are really important, but it’s been a while. I haven’t got anything to write these days, and I still need inspiration for a new comic on the comic blog. Speaking of the comic blog, we have a new addition to the team. His name, or actually online identity, is Collageanism.

Pointless new guy stuff…
Some things about this new guy, he’s a friend of both headondiary and I, and he’s also really good at art. By really good, I mean scary good. I understand that there are several people like that around, and if you go to a school made specially for such talents you’d see them all the time. However, if you’re like me, and you just know a friend that’s THAT good, the feeling’s different. Serious.

Excuses and more excuses…
Here’s why I haven’t been posting. I’m trying to figure out some HTML code thing, so as to display all the members of twistednipples. So, dear reader, if you know how to, please leave a reply and showing me the way. I’m a newbie in this area, kind of. I’m probably just slow in the learning process. I’m also trying to do something different for a change on this blog…thing. Joketard, that is. Look forward to it, I guess.

Then it hit me:
This post is getting wordy, I’ll stop here.

The long conclusion, but important (and unrelated to the post)
-I know what I’m about to say is what people have been sort of spamming, but I’m still going to say it. The disaster in Japan yesterday, made me feel some sort of…pain. I don’t know how to describe it, but long story short, may the force be with Japan and everyone else that’s affected by such disasters.

Death Star Transformer
Where Star Wars meets Transformers. Then again, it feels more like Darth Vader is a special Black Ranger from some random Power Rangers show and the Death Star is his Megazord.
-Awesome…

-Awesome…

Twistednipples

Alright so I didn’t actually explain anything about the comic blog I’m making with headondiary. The link’s 2 posts down, pretty obvious.

The Name
It was all random. My partner named it. That idea came to his head after he saw one of those famous reblogs on tumblr showcasing some dude twisting another’s nipples (animation, no harm done).

The Idea

It came from me. I was watching Bakuman, a Japanese anime featuring 2 guys aiming to become manga artists. Suddenly it struck me. It’d be interesting to create a comic blog. Hence, Twistednipples.

The History
I guess it all started from primary school, or elementary school if you’re not local. We loved drawing comics, and we made a lot! I pretty much sucked at drawing then, and headondiary was a tad load better. Though there was another guy, but he’s too busy with other not so interesting things in life to actually join us in this FUN project.

-I’ll update whenever there’s a new comic up, but currently we don’t have any. I’ve designed some characters already, but not a line drawn for the name/manuscript, so don’t expect something too soon. It’ll all be short, and my ending’s absolutely long. I’ll stop here.

Pocodot

If you think Nokia tried too hard to follow trends, how about you check this out. Warning though, DON’T SIGN UP EVEN IF IT COSTS YOU YOUR LIFE! YOU CAN’T DELETE AFTER SIGNING UP, HOW STUPID IS THAT!?

-In a nutshell, this is a fail of a facebook rip-off, not that any will be successful…
